MigrationLogiK received new feature allowing migrations of the specific Profile options linked to the specific Responsibility. If the user updated Profile options on the responsibility level, MigrationLogiK makes it very easy to locate and download these profile options in a single search. New trend we are trying to implement is to locate associated objects such as Concurrent Program and Values sets and make search and retreival of these setups are more convenient and streamlined.

Is FNDLOAD a free tool
FNDLOAD utility is a great migration vehicle for Oracle APPS migration needs.
But is it really a free utility?
It is part of Oracle APPS license and in that sense it is free. It doesn't have its own cost value.
But how much does it really cost to use it? It reminds me once acquired very cheap Dell printer.
It cost close to nothing, but ink cartridges - it is more expensive than an average quality printer. Can we really say that this printer is cheap?
Obviously - not exactly.
Same is true for FNDLOAD. It is a matter of a proper scale. Compare to the manual entry - it is cheap and accurate. Compare to other automation tools - it is outdated, sometimes inaccurate and expensive. It requires quite an effort to perform migration task.
To determine the syntax, find proper parameters, define values, evaluating log files to make sure it did what expected - it is kind of pricey tool. It takes time and most important time of the expensive resources.
MigrationLogiK on the other hand is not free. It has its own cost line in the invoice. But it is highly automated and intuitive. It allows performing migration task in a matter of seconds. It does what any tool is designed for. It makes human effort - precise and efficient. Expensive resources are focused on the intelligent work, and not used for mechanical effort of moving files, determining syntax , parameters or values.
